Job Description

As a Cabinetry Manufacturing and Delivery Shop Hand, you will be an integral part of both the manufacturing and delivery processes at Marwood Design. The role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn all aspects of cabinetry and shop operations. You will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication, assembly, and delivery of custom cabinetry, ensuring quality standards are met and that products are delivered safely to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Assistance: Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of custom cabinetry under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Delivery Support: Load and deliver cabinetry to job sites, ensuring safe transportation and installation.
  • Shop Maintenance: Keep the work environment clean and organized, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored and maintained.
  • Tool and Equipment Use: Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively to assist with various tasks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to maintain a smooth workflow, helping with additional duties as required.
  • Learning and Development: Demonstrate a willingness to learn all aspects of cabinetry, including woodworking techniques, assembly processes, and safety protocols.
  • Overtime: Be available for overtime work as needed to meet production and delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry up to 150 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Willingness to Learn: Must be open to learning all aspects of cabinetry manufacturing, including woodworking, finishing, and shop procedures.
  • Experience: On-the-job training will be provided. New potential employees will be required to learn and follow the company processes. Prior experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or delivery is a plus.
  • Reliability: Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Safety Conscious: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Team-Oriented: Ability to collaborate effectively with others, assisting wherever needed to meet team goals.
  • Attention to Detail: Careful and precise in all aspects of the job, from assembly to delivery.
