Job Description

We are looking for workers 18+ in residential construction in the greater Salt Lake Area to be part of a research study on effective strategies in residential construction. We are assessing the strategies employed by residential workers to complete a construction task when standing at an elevated level. Participants will be compensated $30 per hour in the study. We are flexible with our scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • One time visit - construction demonstration (2-3 hours).
  • Completing a questionnaire.
  • Completing a construction task several times, which comprises climbing a ladder to reach a platform and hammering nails into a frame.
  • Watching instruction videos to aid in completing the construction task.
  • Completing an informal interview that is structured around previous construction experience.

Qualifications

  • Residential construction/maintenance/repair/handyman experience
  • Able and willing to climb to a platform via a ladder to complete a construction task
