Snowbird is situated in the middle of the Wasatch Mountain Range and is not only home to awe-inspiring views and mighty terrain, it is also home to employees equally as remarkable. Snowbird is a unique resort with distinct summer and winter seasons and offers full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.
TITLE: Busser
LOCATION: SeventyOne
STATUS: Seasonal, Part Time
SCHEDULE: Schedule is based on business levels, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays.
SUMMARY
As a busser you are expected to perform all required duties while remaining professional, friendly, and focused on team members and guests. You will be responsible for coordinating individual bussing station and communication with front and back restaurant personnel to provide the best quest service and exceed their expectations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Cleaning and resetting tables, which may include replenishing condiments and napkins
  • Clearing tables, plates, glasses, and utensils after customer's meal
  • Maintaining bussing station and assisting servers to ensure cleanliness and guest expectations.
  • Meeting all guest needs during their dining experience and handling their questions and concerns
  • Interacting with guests and other Snowbird employees
  • Maintaining good safety practices throughout bussing station
  • Wearing proper uniform and reporting to work on time
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
  • Great customer service skills, communication, teamwork, and action orientated
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of similar work experience (or "experience as a busser is a plus")
  • Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Certification
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Travel to Snowbird Resort
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Schedule is based on business levels, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary, on occasional times of road closures
WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands:
  • Standing and Walking: Bussers are required to be on their feet for extended periods, often moving quickly between tables and other areas of the restaurant.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Bussers frequently lift and carry trays of dishes, glassware, and other items, which can be heavy.
  • Bending and Stooping: Regularly bending and stooping to clear tables and reset them.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-Paced Setting: The restaurant environment is typically fast-paced, especially during peak hours.
  • Noise Levels: Expect moderate to high noise levels from kitchen operations, conversations, and background music.
  • Temperature Variations: Bussers may experience varying temperatures, especially if they need to move between the dining area and the kitchen.
Schedule:
  • Flexible Hours: Bussers often work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as these are peak times for restaurants.
  • Shift Work: Shifts can vary, and bussers may need to work split shifts or extended hours during busy periods.
Teamwork:
