As a CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Instructor at The Trucking School, you play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of professional truck drivers. • Provide hands-on training in the operation of commercial vehicles, including pre-trip inspections, maneuvering, and on-road driving.
• Collaborate with the training department to enhance and update the CDL training curriculum in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Instill a strong culture of safety consciousness among students.
• Provide individualized coaching and feedback to students, identifying areas for improvement and reinforcing strengths.
• Tailor instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and levels of experience among students.
• Ensure that training vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and in compliance with safety standards.
• Report any issues promptly and collaborate with the maintenance team for timely resolutions.
• Stay informed about changes in CDL regulations, industry trends, and advancements in instructional techniques.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

• Valid CDL with the necessary endorsements.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant experience as a professional truck driver.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate and transfer knowledge to others.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulations.
• Previous experience in instructional roles or adult education is a plus.
• Speaking Spanish or another language besides English is a plus
