Culinary position (SALT LAKE CITY)
Tin Angel is a restaurant inside the Eccles Theater. We are open for dining before shows in the theater. The menu is an eclectic mix of appetizers, soups, salads, creative entrees, desserts and cocktails. I am seeking someone who is organized, thoughtful, even tempered, creative, fast on their feet and reliable. I am a hands on Owner/ General Manger. I like to hire friendly folks to help us create a nice dining experience for guests while having fun and working hard together. This position is for specific shifts. I am seeking a person to do the lunch service before Matinee shows on specific dates. These would be Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to about 2pm on the following upcoming dates: April 5&6, 19&20, 26&27, May 3&4, 10&11, 17&18, 24&25, June 21&22. Then we are closed for 2 months and then a similar schedule would start in September. If this person would like other shifts during our evening services, they are available, but for now my focus is on covering these specific shifts. Some months there lots of shows and some months are less busy. But we are coming up on some steady shows for a while right now. Many of us are skiers, campers, river runners, travelers etc because this job is so predictable and we can plan so far ahead. For this position it would be great for someone who has a regular job and wants a predictable side gig for extra income. We are only open for a few hours before each show. The cuisine we are aiming for is elevated but approachable and I would like to bring someone on to the kitchen who wants to get creative with some new menu items for the Springtime! The Lunch menu is a few panini sandwiches and 2 daily quiches, plus our appetizer, salad and dessert menus. We do all the dishes together at the end of the shift rather than having a dedicated dishwasher position because this service is almost like a banquet, in that it all happens in a short time. It would be nice to hire a person who wants to work all the shows when we have them and then take the breaks when they come. We are closed when there is not a show so sometimes we have 2 or 3 weeks off and then come back to a long show run with 8 shows a week for a while. It's a positive, supportive work environment. LGBTQAI friendly. Woman owned and operated. Starting pay is $20 to $22 Depending on experience, level of responsibility, reliability and friendliness, with regular reviews and raises for continued positivity and reliability. Please email me a resume if you'd like to chat more about the job. Thanks!
Be on time to each shift, do all prep for your own station, cooperate and help with prepping other stations as needed, execute a plated service, help clean up and do dishes
positive attitude, friendly person, some kitchen experience, fast under pressure, quick worker, hard worker, creative culinary interests
