HBC trucking is seeking a professional dump truck driver

The driver shall perform daily
truck inspections, and maintain a clean truck. Driver conducts all work in
accordance with policies, procedures, and programs. Start time varies from 6:00am to 7:00am w/
Optional weekly overtime.
• Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle to maintain maximum vehicle safety
conditions and to check for any damaged or work parts or for any signs of tampering.
• Drives dump truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of
roads in the area.
• Pulls levers or turns cranks to tilt body and dump load from truck.
Responsibilities:
• Transporting crushed rock, sand, gravel, salt, broken concrete, debris, asphalt, etc. to and
from specified locations. Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that
they do not exceed weight restrictions.
• Ensure materials are loaded correctly onto the dump truck.
• Inspecting the dump truck before and after every trip or as required by management, which
includes checking the oil, gas, and water levels as well as the lights and tires.
• Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management and or the
appropriate authority.
• Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair in accordance with the
guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
• Communicates regularly with dispatcher to ensure that delivery schedule is being followed
and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.
• Complying with all safety rules and regulations.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
• Valid Class A/B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate – must pass DOT physical.
• Good Driving Record – for insurance eligibility.
• Proven experience operating a standard dump truck.
• Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety
regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Effective communication skills.
