Job Description

WEM Operating is a leading oil and gas company with a commitment to safety, trust, efficiency and respect. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated and skilled HR assistant to join our team. This multi-role position will focus on human resources operations and payroll, while also providing high-level executive support. The HR & Executive Assistant will be responsible for (a) supporting WEM Operating's HR functions,(b) managing the office and (c) assisting the executive team in their daily activities. This role will require prior HR experience, a strong ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills. You’ll work closely with executive team to ensure seamless operations while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

**Key Responsibilities**:


**Human Resources Duties**:

- Oversee full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.

- Liase with third-party payroll and benefits provider to administer employee benefits programs, including insurance, PTO, and retirement plans.- Manage employee records and ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.

- Assist with employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture.

- Coordinate and support employee performance reviews, development programs, and training sessions.

- Assist in organizing corporate events, team-building activities, and company-wide meetings.

- Ensure accurate and up-to-date payroll records and assist with payroll processing.

- Stay informed of new HR trends, best practices, and changes in labor laws relevant to the oil and gas industry.


**Executive Assistant/ Office Manager Duties**:

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the executive team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing travel arrangements.

- Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for executives.

- Maintain client records and database. 

- Handle executive correspondence, screening calls and emails, and responding or directing as necessary.

- Organize and maintain filing systems and ensure efficient document management.

- Assist with special projects and other ad-hoc tasks to support the executives’ business and personal needs.

- Maintain office supplies and manage day-to-day office logistics for the Provo office location.

Qualifications

**Qualifications**:


- 2+ years of experience in HR, preferably with exposure to payroll as well.

- Previous experience providing executive-level administrative support is highly preferred.

- Strong knowledge of HR practices, and benefits administration.

- Must be tech savvy – capable in Microsoft productivity apps and willing to learn current systems and research/implement new systems.

- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
