Job Description: The Department of Sociology & Anthropology in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences at Weber State University seeks a full-time instructor in anthropology with training in cultural or linguistic anthropology. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education and the needs of a large student body in the context of a dual-mission public university. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal at the sole discretion of the university based on performance and funding availability. The appointment will be effective July 1, 2025 and will entail teaching responsibilities during the 2025-26 academic year (Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters).

• A record of research productivity as demonstrated by scholarly presentations and peer-reviewed publications.

The Anthropology Program has offered BA and BS degrees since 2000, and is committed to a four fields approach. Today, the program has over 100 declared anthropology majors and 25 minors with 5 full-time anthropology faculty.
