Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef/Kitchen Manager for our TWO restaurants. Experience managing multiple locations is preferred.
Base Salary would start at $75k depending on experience.
Performance bonuses, health insurance, and base salary can be negotiated for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and food management, with a flair for menu planning and kitchen leadership. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations for BOTH restaurants, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Head Chef position must be able to fluently speak BOTH English and Spanish!
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
• Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and cater to customer preferences.
• Oversee food preparation processes to maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during banquets and special events.
• Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
Skills
• Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Proven experience in food management, including inventory control and cost management.
• Exceptional leadership abilities to inspire and motivate the kitchen team.
• Proficiency in menu planning that balances creativity with customer satisfaction.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of hospitality principles to ensure a positive dining experience for guests.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.
