Robert I. Merrill is seeking a skilled and experienced Door Finisher to join our growing team in our Wood Door Division. As a Door Finisher, you will be responsible for applying finishes to wood doors, including clear coating and matching specified finishes to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Apply finishes to wood doors according to specified requirements
• Match existing finishes to ensure consistency and quality
• Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, staining, and sealing
• Inspect finished doors for quality and make any necessary touch-ups
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling finishes and chemicals

Requirements:

• Previous experience in wood finishing
• Knowledge of different types of wood finishes and techniques
• Ability to match specified finishes accurately
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy doors
• Knowledge of safety protocols for handling finishes and chemicals
