Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and bid documents.
Evaluate costs for labor, materials, and equipment to develop comprehensive budgets.
Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate quotes, and assist
them in meeting deadlines.
Meet with clients to determine project requirements, scope, and budgets.
Attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings to gather vital project insights.
Send bid invitations and follow up with subcontractors to secure quotes.
Resolve cost discrepancies through data analysis and problem-solving.
Present detailed budgets, reports, and project plans to stakeholders.
Develop competitive bids and proposals for construction projects.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to align project goals. Navigate building codes and specifications to ensure compliance.
Update and maintain a database of subcontractors and suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Strong mathematical skills, including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic.
Ability to interpret and analyze construction plans and specifications.
Knowledge of current building codes and industry standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift) are preferred.
