Field Construction Project Manager

Job Description

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be a key member of the team overseeing the on-site, day-to-day construction of each home within your community from stake-out to completion. You will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and tracking all construction to assure Symphony’s high-quality standards are met, while safely delivering each home on time and within budget. The Construction Project Manager will also be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience both during and after the construction of each home.

Responsibilities

  • Review building plans prior to start of construction·            
  • Schedule subcontractors and clarify expectations and scope of work
  • Review purchase orders and coordinate delivery of materials and supplies as needed
  • Stake out lot prior to excavation
  • Schedule and be present for all required building inspections
  • Be available for site meetings and walk throughs with buyers as needed
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure on-site working conditions adhere to standards
  • Schedule, train and mentor Assistant Superintendents
  • Attend weekly Construction Team Meetings
  • Oversee and report back on all warranty requests from the Warranty Manager
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers, customers, and trade partners 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-years of construction supervision experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Experience with a semi-custom or custom residential homebuilder (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of building codes (IBC)
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Understanding of architectural, civil and structural plans
  • Excellent scheduling and management skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with Excel, Outlook and scheduling software
  • Ability to communicate effectively based upon customer’s construction knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management
  • Outstanding customer experience skills
  • High school degree or equivalent, (advanced education preferred)
  • Driver’s license and ability to drive to various job sites

Additional Information

This is a full-time salaried position for a Construction Project Manager in Davis County, UT. Symphony offers a highly competitive salary (DOE), with bonuses based on Customer Satisfaction, Construction Quality, Cycle Time, Jobsite Cleanliness and Timely Completion of Final Walkthrough Items for each home. Benefits include regular paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision and life insurance, health savings account (HSA) matching, and 401K matching (after one year of employment).
