Award winning children's resale store is looking for an experienced manager who can motivate and lead a team to keep a store full of great kid's stuff! You would become an important part of a team and business that pays families to recycle their gently used kid's clothes, toys & baby gear. You would sort through 1000's of items each week and help purchase the ones that we can resell. We're looking for an outstanding team leader who can follow the Kid to Kid franchise system to provide positive customer and seller experiences and maintain a clean and organized store. Kid to Kid sells gently used kid's stuff -- but we're not your typical thrift store. We serve the community by paying cash for gently used kids’ things and reselling them at great prices. Our community loves and needs us to help make parenting more affordable. We are seeking a strong manager candidate who can take ownership of a store, store team, and inventory management.
Benefits:
We'd love to chat with you and see if our career opportunity would be right for you. Drop us your application and let's talk!
Very few people are experienced in the resale industry -- but the Kid to Kid Franchise has trained 1000's of people who have worked in fashion, teaching, or restaurants and are familiar with children's products to successfully run stores. Qualified candidates will have a passion for the resale industry, the ability to learn new skills and move quickly and efficiently, and solve problems. Must be able to communicate direction to staff and processes to customers and sellers, and follow up on delegated tasks. Must have a friendly, outgoing personality. Must love to plan, organize, and prioritize to get daily duties and other projects completed quickly. Must be able to use reports to manage labor, product selection and sales goals. Must be able to correctly select and appraise hundreds of children's clothes, shoes, toys & baby gear each day.
Running a Kid to Kid store requires a unique personality and talent set because our shoppers are also our suppliers! We don't order boxes of clothing or toys in certain styles and sizes. We purchase them every day from families who bring them to our store. Excellent customer and seller communication skills ensure positive experiences. The manager will learn our appraisal system and monitor incoming product to ensure that it meets our quality, selection and pricing criteria. The manager is responsible for maintaining racks full of current in-season product priced right -- which means monthly markdowns, seasonal set changes, and regular rebalancing of the rods and racks to get all product out for sale at the appropriate time. This is a fun job for the right person who likes kid's clothes, loves variety in their activities, loves mentoring and managing others, and has the ability to plan ahead for success. It's not a great job for someone who struggles with stress, low energy levels, or is afraid to have difficult conversations occasionally. It is a great job for someone who loves setting and reaching goals, pays attention to details, and feels a sense of pride in a job well done.
