We are looking for a reliable, self-driven, courteous, safety-dedicated, detail-oriented and multi-talented person for part-time work. Responsibilities include: material handling (receiving, processing and prepping various materials), warehouse logistics (operating forklift safely, shelving palletized materials, retrieving items, loading/unloading trucks), shipping (packaging materials for safe transport), local deliveries and pick-ups, errands, cleaning, and other miscellaneous tasks. Occasional customer service interactions may also be required. Punctuality, honesty, good hygiene, a positive attitude and professional presentation are mandatory.
This position requires CLOSE and constant attention to detail, excellent listening and processing skills, adaptability, problem-solving, observational and quick-learning and the ability to follow instructions carefully and ask good questions. You must be in good physical condition (flexible, able to lift up to 80 lbs., be on your feet most of the day, etc.), be mechanically inclined (familiarity with basic hand and power tools), and be able to move between tasks quickly and easily, while staying organized to meet deadlines. You must be comfortable working alone and with others (occasionally supervising temporary workers), adaptable, genial, and a hard worker. Basic familiarity with warehousing, forklifting (minimum 1 year; trained/certified a plus), shipment reception and preparation (BOLs, palletizing/strapping, etc.) is needed. Experience with driving full-size pick-up trucks and loading, unloading and pulling trailers up to 20' is also a must.
REQUIREMENTS: You must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, no felony convictions, reliable transportation, legal right to work in the U.S., and be able to speak English fluently (bi-lingual speakers encouraged to apply). You must be at least 18 years of age. You will be required to pass a drug test, background check and D.O.T. physical. You are responsible for providing your own transportation to/from our office. We are an E.E.O. business.
PAY/HOURS: Wage is $23.00-$26.00/hour, depending on experience. Available hours may vary but expect 30 to 35 hours/week. Days may vary but will typically be 8.5 to 9.0 hours each day, up to 4 days/weeks, likely Tuesday through Friday. We may add Saturday hours at some point.
