Job Summary:

The Automation & Integration Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing automation scripts and systems to improve IT operations and efficiency. This position supports systems integration efforts and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of IT systems. The role also involves leveraging foundational AI tools and techniques to implement entry-level AI-driven solutions, such as chatbots or sentiment analysis, to further enhance automation capabilities.

Basic Function:

The Automation & Integration Engineer focuses on designing and implementing automation solutions to streamline IT workflows and processes. Responsibilities include developing and debugging scripts, supporting system integration efforts, and utilizing basic AI tools to improve efficiency. The incumbent contributes to infrastructure monitoring, ensures secure integration of IT systems, and maintains comprehensive technical documentation. 

Required Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Or equivalent experience.

2 years of experience in 3 or more of the following or related areas: 

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.

• Proficiency in AI/ML programming and model deployment using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

• Experience with AI automation tools, such as Azure AI, AWS AI services, or Google AutoML.

• Strong understanding of AI integration with APIs, including RESTful services and cloud platforms.

• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, PowerShell, or Terraform.

• Strong problem‐solving and communication skills.

• UI/UX Design

• Data analytics, analysis, and creation of visuals (Dashboards)

Advanced Scripting and Programming: 

• Proficient in scripting languages such as:

• Python (object-oriented programming, modules, and libraries)

• PowerShell (advanced scripting for Windows environments)

• Bash (advanced scripting for Unix/Linux environments)

• Experience in automation and scripting for system administration tasks.

• Experience with deploying pre-trained ML models in production environments.

Automation Tools: 

• Proficiency in using AI-based orchestration tools to enhance CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands‐on experience with automation tools such as:

• Ansible (creating and managing complex playbooks)

• Terraform (infrastructure as code, managing cloud resources)

• Jenkins (configuring CI/CD pipelines, plugins)

• Puppet/Chef (basic configuration management)

Operating Systems: 

• Advanced knowledge of operating systems including:

• Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy management)

• Linux (shell scripting, system monitoring, and performance tuning)

• macOS (administration and automation through scripting)

Version Control Systems: 

• Proficient with version control systems:

• Git (branching, merging, resolving conflicts)

• GitHub/GitLab (using CI/CD features, managing pull requests)

Networking and Security: 

• Strong understanding of networking concepts including:

• VLANs, VPNs, IP routing, and firewall rules

• Implementing basic network security measures

• SSL /TLS certificate management

Cloud Platforms: 

• Proficient in managing cloud infrastructure, such as:

• AWS (S3, EC2, IAM , basic VPC configuration)

• Azure (Azure AD, Resource Groups, VMs, Storage Accounts)

• Google Cloud (GKE , IAM , Cloud Storage)

Virtualization and Containers: 

• Experience with virtualization and containerization:

• VMware (managing multiple VMs, vSphere)

• Docker (container creation, management, Docker Compose)

• Kubernetes (basic cluster management, deployments)

Experience with ServiceNow development and automation with other Low Code/No Code solutions.

Familiarity with Web Development including React and leveraging APIs.

Experience with CI/CD tools – GitHub, Bitbucket, pipelines, repos, etc

Data analytics, analysis, and creation of visuals (Dashboards)
