Job Description

The Utah Electrical Training Alliance (UETA) is looking for a highly organized and skilled Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join our team at our West Jordan, Utah Training Center.

Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Training Director and plays a crucial role in supporting our training center staff and ensuring our operations run efficiently. We offer competitive pay and a robust benefits package. 

As the Office Manager/Bookkeeper, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily Office Operations: Oversee and manage the day-to-day functions of the office, ensuring a streamlined, efficient, and organized environment.
  • Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online, process payroll, generate financial reports, and assist with long-term financial planning.
  • Team and Visitor Support: Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for staff, students, vendors and visitors.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with educational standards and state licensing regulations, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Apprenticeship & Student Management: Assist with managing apprenticeship applications, track student progress, and maintain organized filing systems.
  • Event Planning and Scheduling: Provide support for organizing events and scheduling.
  • Additional Support: Perform other duties as assigned by the Training Director and Assistant Training Director.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma required. An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of office management experience.
  • At least 5 years of bookkeeping and financial reporting experience, ideally using QuickBooks Online.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent leadership abilities and a strong team player mentality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Preferred: Experience in an educational setting or a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is a plus but not required.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break. Some flexibility and occasional overtime may be required.
  • Compensation: Starting wage of $27-$32 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Benefits:
  • Full benefits package, including employer-paid healthcare, personal care accounts, paid time off, pension and annuity contributions (valued at approximately $2,700 per month).
