DEPARTMENT – Corporate
REPORTS TO – CFO/VP of Finance and HR
SUMMARY
The Financial Operations Assistant supports the VP of Finance and HR with daily financial tasks such as data entry and record keeping, invoice processing, preparing journal entries, and generating financial reports. This role may also assist with account reconciliations, budget preparation, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual for this dynamic role, essential for maintaining our financial accuracy and efficiency.
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
· Proven experience in financial operations or similar role
· Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Maintaining accurate financial records, entering data into accounting software, and managing financial files
· Processing invoices, entering them into the accounting system, and ensuring timely payments
· Preparing reports, spreadsheets, and other documents to support financial analysis and decision-making
· Reconciling bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy
· Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering data, preparing reports, and analyzing financial trends
· Providing general administrative support to the CFO
· Ensuring compliance with internal policies and financial regulations
· Undertaking additional tasks and projects as required by management
