Job Description

The Young Automotive Group is Growing again. We are seeking a organized and professional Paralegal to join our legal team. The Paralegal will support the legal department of the automotive group by preparing legal documents, assisting in collection efforts, conducting research, managing compliance records, and coordinating with internal departments and external counsel. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the company operates within legal frameworks across its dealership franchises, dealership operations, real estate holdings, employee matters, state and federal compliance and regulatory matters and contractual obligations. Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and organize legal documents including contracts, NDAs, lease agreements, and vendor agreements
  • Conduct legal research related to automotive compliance, dealership regulations, employment law, and state-specific licensing requirements
  • Maintain and organize digital and physical legal files, ensuring secure and confidential handling of documents
  • Assist in managing litigation matters, including discovery, collection efforts, subpoenas, and communication with outside counsel
  • Track contract renewal dates, regulatory deadlines, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with HR and finance teams on employment-related or transactional legal issues
  • Support real estate transactions by preparing closing documents, reviewing lease terms, and filing necessary paperwork
  • Assist with corporate governance tasks such as business registrations, annual reports, and maintaining corporate records
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting automotive operations
  • Handle other duties as assigned by the General Counsel or Legal Manager


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher; Paralegal certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a legal setting, preferably with exposure to automotive, collections, or corporate law
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal management software (e.g., Clio, Excel, NetDocuments, or similar)
  • Experience working with corporate environments
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
