Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Dump Truck Driver to operate one of our dump trucks for various projects throughout Salt Lake county, Utah county, Davis county, Tooele county, and Summit county. You will be responsible for safely transporting materials such as gravel, sand, dirt, construction debris, and other aggregates to and from job sites. This position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and a good understanding of the equipment and its maintenance needs

Responsibilities

Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites.

Load and unload materials as needed, ensuring the truck is properly balanced.

Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.

Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project efficiency.

Assist with the proper placement and dumping of materials at the designated site.

Keep accurate records of loads, trips, and delivery times.

Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the truck and equipment.

Assist with basic loading/unloading duties as needed.

 

Qualifications

Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record.

5 years of experience driving dump trucks or similar heavy equipment.

Knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures for operating heavy vehicles.

Ability to operate and maneuver large trucks and trailers.

Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.

Basic mechanical knowledge for performing routine inspections and minor repairs on the truck.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
