Pink Seams is hiring a part-time weekend bridal alterations machine sewist to support our exclusive team during the 2025 bridal season! As a bridal alterations machine sewist you will be responsible for completing a variety of alterations on luxury, couture bridal gowns pinned to the clients' specific measurements and under the direction of our expert technical sewists. 

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can take the initiative. Communication and a positive attitude will be key as you will be working closely on each assignment with every department at varying stages of the production process. This is a fast paced environment, so the ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and complete projects with short turnaround times while producing accurate, quality work. Basic on-the-job training is provided, but industrial machine and hand sewing experience is required. 

• Complete each week's assigned alteration projects in preparation for the subsequent fittings. 
• Following instructions and detailed notes on the alterations ticket to ensure proper adjustments are being made.
• Quality checking work as it is being completed 
• Keep a tidy, clean workspace to ensure proper treatment of each garment currently in production 
• Mopping and sweeping work areas to ensure proper cleanliness after every shift
• Other responsibilities assigned by senior staff 

• High school diploma or GED minimal
• Experience in luxury clothing required
• 2-4 years minimal of industrial machine sewing experience required
• 1-3 years minimal of bridal alterations
• Experience with professional heat equipment required
• Basic hand sewing experience required
• Ability to problem solve with on the spot solutions
• Go-getter attitude who takes the initiative with minimal direction
• Must have positive attitude
• Active listener who can follow instructions with little input from senior staff
• Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM from date of hire to October 1, 2025, non-negotiable

• Contract work
• Average of $18-$20/hour based on experience
• Tuesday and Saturday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM non-negotiable
• Position will run from now until October 1, 2025
• 30 day probation period
• Hiring immediately
• Hours nonnegotiable
• Contract position with the possibility of extension past October 1, 2025
• Machine and/or hand sewing test will be administered to all candidates before hire to accurately gauge level of sewing skill, no exceptions
