Comers Concrete is a family-owned, Utah-based concrete contractor specializing in DOT infrastructure across the state. We take pride in building and maintaining the roads, bridges, and barriers that keep Utah moving. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Field Engineer to join our growing team.

You’ll gain hands-on experience while contributing directly to daily operations, layout, concrete placement, and quality control. With room to grow and support from experienced project managers, this role is a strong foundation for those looking to advance in the concrete and heavy civil industry.

• Assist in managing daily field operations and work with crew leads to plan and execute production goals
• Coordinate material deliveries and scheduling with batch plant and trucking
• Track quantities placed and contribute to pay estimates and billing documentation
• Maintain and update project schedules, submittal logs, and work plans
• Oversee scopes of work (flatwork, curb & gutter, median barrier runs, ramp pours)
• Communicate with general contractors, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance and coordination
• Monitor safety practices and ensure compliance with UDOT and company standards
• Help manage and close out documentation including redlines, as-builts, and daily reports
• Provide technical support in the field (layout checks, specification compliance, testing coordination)

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–5 years experience in concrete, civil construction, or similar
• Experience working on UDOT or municipal infrastructure preferred
• Comfortable working outside in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with construction plans
• Valid Driver’s License (company vehicle provided for work-related travel)
