We are seeking a skilled and responsible Dump truck and Flatbed Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating dump trucks and flatbed trucks in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring timely delivery of materials. This position requires a high level of responsibility, as the driver will be transporting a variety of materials to and from construction sites.

Dump Truck Operation:

• Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials (e.g., gravel, sand, construction debris) to and from job sites.
• Ensure proper loading, unloading, and securing of materials.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck to ensure it is in safe and working condition.
• Operate the dump system to dump materials efficiently and in compliance with safety protocols.

Flatbed Truck Operation:

• Safely operate flatbed trucks for the transportation of oversized or specialized loads, including construction equipment, building materials, and other freight.
• Secure loads using proper tie-down methods to ensure the safe transport of goods.
• Assist with loading and unloading, using equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or other machinery as needed.
• Ensure compliance with weight limits and load securement regulations.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and mileage.
• Ensure cargo is properly secured before transporting to avoid accidents and damage to goods.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to driving safety, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance.

Customer Interaction:

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients regarding delivery times, routes, and special instructions.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients at delivery or pickup sites.

Maintenance & Reporting:

• Report any vehicle issues, maintenance needs, or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, tire pressure, and fluid levels, and ensure trucks are kept clean and in good working order.

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating dump trucks and flatbed trucks required.
• Experience in the construction or logistics industry is preferred.
• Licensing & Certification:
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for dump and flatbed truck operation.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of truck operations, load securement, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and follow route maps and instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with team members and customers.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50-100 pounds.
• Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers multiple times per day.
• Ability to drive for long periods and work in varying weather conditions.
