Own the guest journey from an online search to the moment visitors exit our tasting room—glassware rinsed, bags in hand, five-star review pending. You’ll curate the space, lead a small team, drive retail sales, and turn data into insights that fuel growth.
Retail Experience & Ambience
• Redesign the retail/tasting-room layout regularly to optimize flow and storytelling.
• Maintain a spotless, clutter-free environment; manage lighting, music, scent, and on-screen content.
• Create seasonal end-caps, specials, and in-store promotions.
Guest Services
• Build, update, and close out tour & tasting offerings in Tock; ensure staff are trained to upsell.
• Encourage guest surveys, respond to Google reviews, and analyze feedback to improve NPS, CAC, and CLV.
Digital & Local Presence
• Keep hours of operation accurate across Google, Yelp, Facebook, Square Online, TripAdvisor, Groupon, the physical door, etc.
• Configure Groupon/Tock redemption procedures and train staff accordingly.
Inventory & Merchandising
• Forecast, create POs, receive, and reconcile inventory; enter counts into Square and update UPCs/photos/online availability.
• Conduct monthly physical counts and investigate variances.
• Manage humidor conditions and plan Chartwell Cigar Club selections/packaging three months out.
People Leadership
• Recruit, hire, schedule, and coach retail and tour staff; approve time off and payroll in the PEO system.
• Conduct quarterly performance reviews; handle corrective actions and terminations when necessary.
• Interact with customers positively.
Sales & Promotions
• Ideate and execute retail sales campaigns, Cigar Club tie-ins, and holiday promotions.
•Reach out to local groups to increase foot traffic.
• Update in-store TV slides and signage to support promotions.
Analytics & Reporting
• Monitor KPIs (daily sales, conversion rate, AOV, Cigar Club churn) and deliver a concise monthly report with actionable recommendations.
Compliance
• Ensure all operations adhere to Utah DABS regulations for sampling, discounting, and retail sales.
