We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented UTV Apprentice Technician / Shop Helper to join our team for the summer season. This part-time position is perfect for a student on summer vacation looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, hands-on powersports environment. You’ll assist with mechanical tasks, shop upkeep, inventory, and more—all while learning the fundamentals of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Flexible scheduling is available, with shifts ranging from 20 to 30 hours per week to accommodate other commitments or summer plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Support & Maintenance
• Assist technicians with routine maintenance services such as:
• Oil and fluid changes
• Tire installation, rotation, and repair
• Brake service and adjustments
• Filter replacements
• Battery checks and replacements
• Perform basic diagnostics under supervision
• Help prepare UTVs and other vehicles for weekly trips.

Vehicle Washing & Detailing
• Wash and detail UTVs, ATVs, and other off-road vehicles
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of vehicles on the lot
• Use proper cleaning materials to protect vehicle finishes

Recovery & Transportation
• Assist in recovering or transporting vehicles from trails or customer locations
• Safely load, secure, and unload trailers and vehicles under guidance

Shop Support
• Keep shop areas clean, organized, and safe
• Assist in setting up workstations and moving equipment
• Handle proper disposal of fluids and used parts

Inventory Management & Parts Ordering
• Help track and manage incoming and outgoing inventory
• Receive and inspect deliveries, tagging and storing parts
• Maintain basic inventory records (digital or paper)
• Assist with ordering parts and contacting vendors for availability and pricing

Qualifications:
• High school student or recent graduate preferred
• Interest in mechanics or off-road vehicles
• Valid driver’s license (Class C or higher); towing experience is a plus
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically active role
• Self-motivated, punctual, and willing to learn
• Able to follow instructions and work both independently and with a team
• Flexible availability, including weekends or afternoons if needed

• Experience with UTVs, ATVs, or small engines
• Comfort using basic hand and power tools
• Any previous work in an automotive, mechanical, or outdoor setting
• Forklift or trailer experience is a bonus
