The Ogden Mustangs, a premier hockey team, are seeking a talented and passionate Play-by-Play Announcer for all home games during the upcoming season, running from September through April. This is an exciting opportunity to be the voice of the Mustangs, bringing the thrill of live hockey to our dedicated fanbase!

As our Play-by-Play Announcer, you'll be responsible for:

• Providing dynamic and accurate play-by-play commentary for all Ogden Mustangs home games.
• Maintaining a current and comprehensive statistics package, including tracking team leaders for both the Mustangs and opposing teams.
• Conducting engaging interviews with players, sponsors, VIPs, and fans, both scheduled and ad hoc, as assigned by the front office.
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of hockey statistics and game flow.
• Being coachable, flexible, and patient, able to take direction and adapt to game-day needs.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven proficiency in hockey play-by-play announcing.
• The ability to gather, compile, and produce relevant statistics for the current season, series, and individual games.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a well-spoken demeanor.
• Availability for home games, typically on weekends with occasional Thursday games. Game times usually start at 7:00 PM, requiring arrival at the rink by 5:00 PM.
• Familiarity with the Weber County Ice Sheet (located next to the Weber State campus and Dee Events Center in Ogden, Utah) is a plus.
