NextStep Support Services is looking for compassionate, reliable individuals to join our team as Direct Care Support Staff! This role is perfect for those who enjoy helping others, want to work hands-on with daily activities

What You'll Do:

- Support individuals with disabilities in their homes and out in the community

- Help with day-to-day activities like cooking, cleaning, dressing, bathing, and medication reminders

- Encourage independence by teaching skills like budgeting, planning, and self-care

- Go on outings to the store, parks, libraries, and events to build social skills and community involvement

- Build meaningful, trusting relationships with the people you support

- Keep accurate notes and reports of daily activities and progress

- Provide positive support and redirection during emotional or behavioral challenges

- Maintain a clean, respectful, and safe environment at all times

Requirements:

- Must be 16 years or older

- High school diploma or GED

- Pass a background check

- Reliable transportation to and from work

- Valid driver's license and auto insurance (if transporting clients)

- Ability to complete CPR/First Aid and other required trainings (we’ll help you!)
