Interior Designer (Experienced + Independent)

Bloc Consulting and Design is seeking an experienced Interior Designer who’s ready to lead their own projects with autonomy—without the burden of running a business.

This role is ideal for a designer who’s confident selling and managing client projects independently, but values the structure, tools, and team support of an established studio. You’ll lead projects from start to finish with full access to junior design support, drafting assistance, and all the software/hardware resources you need.

What You’ll Do:

Sell, manage, and execute interior design projects from concept to install

Lead client relationships, design direction, and project oversight

Create presentations, material palettes, and FF&E selections

Produce or oversee design documentation (plans, elevations, etc.)

Collaborate with in-house support for drafting and junior design tasks

Work both remotely and on-site as needed (hybrid flexibility within the local region)

What We’re Looking For:

3–8 years of professional interior design experience

Strong project management and client communication skills

Ability to work independently and confidently own your work

Proficiency in Chief Architect, Revit, or similar software (preferred)

Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and follow-through

Must be based in the Wasatch Front, Park City, or Ogden Valley region – this position is not open to out-of-state or fully remote applicants

Compensation:

This is a hybrid contractor-style role with a base hourly rate plus a negotiated split of the billed project rate. The base provides reliable income, while the split structure rewards initiative and successful project sales. Specific terms are discussed based on experience and scope.
