I am seeking Full-Time Day, Full-Time Night Emergency, and Summer-only Apartment Maintenance Technicians. Full-Time Benefits include Heath Insurance, optional Dental Insurance and Life Insurance after designated waiting period. Compensation: Starting $15-35 /hr DOE and Shift.
This person must be professional, clean, honest, hard-working and have a good attitude. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND IF YOU SMOKE OR HAVE A CRIMINAL HISTORY.
Some of the jobs are as follows:
1. To diagnose and repair household problems of current tenants, including but not limited to:
a) Plumbing -- Diagnose / finding and repairing leaks and / or clogs. Replace faucets, shower heads and other accessories. Repair and replace hot water heaters.
b) Electrical - Diagnose power issues and power safety issues. Maintain the units' circuit breaker. Repair / replace lighting fixtures, such as overhead chandeliers and ceiling fans.
c) HVAC - Perform preventative maintenance. Replace circuit boards and other essential components of the heating and ventilation system.
d) Appliances - Stove (gas and electric). Refrigerator / freezers, dish washers, in-sink garbage disposal repair and replacement. Washers and dryers. Structural and Aesthetics: Drywall, window replacement, door replacement, paint / wallpaper, molding and trim, carpets and other types of flooring.
e) Other Building Maintenance -- Paint, clean, think innovatively, landscaping and other general maintenance needs.
2. Preparation of vacant units for occupancy, as well as the scheduling and ordering.
3. Occasionally may be required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday.
4. Finally, this is a job about relationships. Maintenance techs will work with vendors, owners, property managers and tenants and are expected to be able to cultivate and maintain good professional relationships. - Requires a team-oriented person who will safely and efficiently assist in the repair or routine maintenance of rental properties
- Must be able to read written instructions in the language provided (English)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have your own basic tools
- Must have your own transportation
- Must handle tasks with professionalism
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment drug testing and background checks
- Must be able to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, etc.
- Willing to train the right candidate, but must have a good basic knowledge and skills in the building / construction trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, wallpapering, smoke / fire alarm systems installation, heating and ventilation systems, etc.
