Austral Star is a small local manufacturer of Lifting and Conveying equipment and we are looking to hire a FULL TIME Journeyman Electrician. Flexibility within the shop and on site is essential within the scope of this role which may include assembly, light fabrication and CAD drawing.

The ideal person will have a degree with experience or significant experience in Electrical Engineering/Technology. Building control panels, wiring and testing electrical machinery, programming PLC ladder logic programming, pulling wire and wiring up cranes and other lifting equipment, drilling, cutting steel and other light fab of small parts as well as assembly are part of your core role.

All applicants will be required to take a tape reading, fractional arithmetic and mechanical reasoning test before hiring. A current driver's license is essential as well as the ability to skillfully operate a warehouse type forklift.

Wages are dependent on skill, with opportunity to advance quickly through a skill log for each employee with wage increases upon successful attainment.

We have a good team, enjoy work, and have a lot of fun while working. Desire to learn and a good work ethic is required. We are currently located in Ogden and will be moving to Corinne later this year so living within 20-30 mins (max) from the shop in Corinne is preferable.
