This is a full time position reporting to the Operations Manager. The purpose of this position is to provide general welding services to heavy machinery and trucks in order to maintain all equipment in good working condition to ensure equipment is working properly when needed.

Repair welding with some fabrication involved.

Welding includes:

• equipment cracks (buckets, trailer beds, etc.)
• hard facing
• general crushing equipment welding
• etc.

Use acetylene cutting torch.

Use air arch equipment in preparation for repairs.

Other duties as assigned.

Wire feed and stick welding skills.

Mechanical skills a plus

Ability to understand and follow oral instructions in English.

Time Management skills

Regularly works in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires frequent standing, sitting bending, lifting, crawling, and a full range of body motion. 

Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.

Noise level varies according to functions performed, from generally low office levels to loud.

Excellent stamina is required.

10% traveling is required.
