Our team is looking for an efficient, energetic, and outgoing customer service-oriented Barista with the aptitude to join our unique community centered café.

As part of the Mestizo Crew, you will provide customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintain a clean and comfortable shop. Qualities we are looking for are adaptability, self-reliance, and confidence.

Essential job functions for employees include but are not limited to the following:

• Food and drink preparation including preparing coffee, specialty drinks, teas, smoothies, and several food menu items.
• Acts with integrity in all interactions with co-workers and customers.
• Delivers legendary customer service to all customers.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
• Anticipates store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customer cues.
• Communicates with manager and Mestizo staff.
• Keeps a clean and organized workspace at all times.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products and operations.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

• Preferred experience in customer service and/or food/beverage prep.
• Ability to work efficiently on your own and with others. 
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Fast learners appreciated.

Mestizo Coffee House requires all employees to maintain a current Food Handlers Permit and requires that attire and hygiene be in line with Board of Health guidelines.
