Responsible for testing, analysis, and day-to-day maintenance of samples and lab equipment. Participate in record keeping, inventory, stocking, and maintaining a clean and organized lab space. Work with a variety of samples.

Chemistry assignments as directed (Sample organization, Lab cleaning,etc.)

Follow laboratory safety guidelines and good laboratory practices at all times.

Follow good laboratory practices.

Prepare, maintain, and perform microbiological, analytical, and possible chemical testing.

Operate scientific equipment such as: Autoclave, Hot Plates, Plate Pourer, Microscopes, and more.

Prepare and dispense solutions and chemical materials for lab use, which may include: media solvents, reagents, oils, aroma chemicals, acids, bases, buffers, stains, and unknowns.

Clean up after each lab session by washing, and if necessary, sterilizing tools, equipment, and supplies.

Other tasks and duties as assigned.
