Role Description

The storefront associate is responsible for selling firearms and all other store merchandise in compliance with federal, state, and company requirements and policies

Role Responsibilities:

* Execute opening and closing procedures and other daily workflows of the store presented by management.

* Maintain the stores appearance, functionality, and safely for employees and customers.

* Daily communication with store manager and/or store supervisor to maintain a smooth flow throughout the store and address any concerns or problems.

* Know the federal and state laws for selling a firearm and any other merchandise that you sell and do everything needed in these transactions to make sure you are compliant with all those regulations.

*Forms must be filled out legibly, with blue ink, and only by the employee in the employees’ section and the customer in the customer’s section.

* Sale must not be suspect of a straw purchase, noticeably intoxicated individual, an individual unable to read and answer the 4473 on his/her own (language barrier, Illiterate, vision problems, or any other reason the individual cannot fill out the paperwork by themselves) or any other reasons deemed unacceptable by management.

* Form is to be double checked by a management member before customer leaves the store for accuracy and legibility.

* Firearm is not to leave the employees immediate possession until the firearm has been paid for fully by the customer that has filled out the 4473.

• * Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. 

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

*Extensive knowledge of all types of firearms and firearm parts.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Legible handwriting

* Ability to multitask and stay on task.

*Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

*Team player.

*Able to maintain professionalism under possibly stressful circumstances.

* Great interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

* Experience working in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Repetitive hand motion (such as typing).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
