PURPOSE OF POSITION:
As a member of the team, you will help drive the growth of Pilates program within our club, offering both class and private instruction to members of varying skill levels. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Teach reformer classes, private Pilates training, and fitness classes at both locations under the guidance of the S/F Director.
· Help to grow the Pilates Program through program development, member education, marketing, free mini sessions, etc.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Pilates Studio.
· Assess the condition of Pilates equipment as well as any equipment needs.
· Maintain a hospitable, friendly, and approachable demeanor at all times.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Education/Certifications: BS in Health Sciences, Exercise Sports Science or similar. Pilates Certifications for both mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates. Athletic or Exercise Background.
· Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pilates instructor.
· Ability to multi-task.
· Computer and phone skills.
· Positive attitude, ability to work well with others, and provide outstanding customer service.
· Ability to communicate effectively with your manager, fellow employees, and members.
· CPR/AED certification.
· Self-motivated, positive attitude.
· A willingness to cross-train and learn other duties within the department.
· Team player.
· Exceptional organizational skills.
· Exceptional customer service.
· Passion for health and wellness.

· When dealing with member comments or complaints, explain the reasons for decisions and use inclusive language like “we” to demonstrate unity with upper management It is important to communicate that you are involved in the decision-making process.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
· Flexible work schedule including some days/evenings/weekends and holidays.
· Commit to working weekends and holidays as needed.
· Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
