The Cashier is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to customers, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, either in person or over the phone. 
• Answer customer questions about the menu and provide recommendations.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate to management when necessary.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt and courteous service.
• Cash Handling and Transactions:Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process orders and payments.
• Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.
• Provide accurate change and receipts to customers.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Process online and phone orders.
• Restaurant Operations:Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the counter, dining area, and condiment station.
• Restock supplies such as napkins, condiments, and utensils.
• Assist with food preparation or other tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
• Answering phones, and taking phone orders.
• Other Duties:Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Food handler's permit (may be required).
• Being a team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or customer service experience in a restaurant setting.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
