One Source Materials is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trucking Division Assistant Manager to join our team. This job is located in UT county, is partially remote, comes with a company vehicle, and benefits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the schedules of trucks and drivers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of materials. The Trucking Division Assistant Manager will plan routes, assign loads, communicate with drivers and customers, and resolve any issues that arise. This position requires a focus on customer satisfaction, compliance with regulations and safety standards, and the ability to handle disputes or complaints professionally.
• Route and Load Planning: Plan and assign efficient routes and loads to drivers, ensuring timely delivery while maximizing efficiency.
• Driver Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, or unexpected issues. Provide support to drivers throughout their shifts.
• Assisting Sales Team: Assisting sales team by taking incoming phone calls from customers, providing pricing, and scheduling.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers regarding shipment statuses, delivery times, and address any customer complaints or inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Issue Resolution: Proactively resolve any issues that arise during transit, including delays, traffic, mechanical failures, or other challenges.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety, labor laws, and vehicle maintenance standards.
• Safety Standards: Monitor driver performance to ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, providing guidance on safe driving practices.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of routes, deliveries, driver schedules, and customer interactions. Generate reports as required for management review.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Trucking Division Manager, the sales team, the accounting team, mechanics, and the drivers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications is a plus.
• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation management preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with drivers, customers, and other team members.
• Proficient in using dispatch software and systems, docs, sheets, and other computer programs.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Occasional long hours or after-hours availability may be required.
