Jones Excavating Co. is seeking a reliable Heavy Equipment Operator/Leader to join our Construction team. Jones Excavating has been an industry leading heavy earthwork and utility contractor for over 75 Years. We offer competitive benefits, and are looking to fill a Heavy Equipment Operator/Leader. Work is performed locally, and out of town travel is not required. Looking for candidate who has experience in heavy commercial excavation and utility work. Candidate will need to be proficient in digging around utilities, installing utilities and teaching as he works. We are seeking someone who enjoys hands on in addition to operating, and playing an active role in the job, and job management.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work requires individuals to be aware of their surroundings and be willing to work in a safe and deliberate manner.
• Experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment (Dozer, Excavator. Loader)
• Experience with GPS, Preferably Topcon
• Candidate will need to be proficient in digging around utilities, installing utilities and learning/teaching as you works
• Operating hand and powered equipment including saws, hammers, pliers, vibrators, drills, etc.
• Candidate must be able to lift 75 Lbs.
