Considering a career with Ken Garff Automotive Group means you are in for a great ride (excuse the car metaphor)! We’re not your standard dealership or group of dealerships and we are pretty darn proud of that. We are out to do things differently and want to consistently change, grow, and progress. For that reason, our employees are proud of where they work!
Nissan of Orem, a Ken Garff Automotive Dealership, is looking for an Acquisitions Manager who aligns with our core values and acts with respect, integrity, growth, humility, and teamwork.
This pivotal position is a key contributor to the success of the used car department. Due to the nature of the work, you will be required to uphold all risk management standards as outlined in the Ken Garff employee handbook. You will be required to work in conjunction with the Used Car Manager and provide any assistance if need be. You will report to the General Sales Manager and be required to clock in and out every day you work.
Why you’ll love working with us:
What you’ll do as an Acquisitions Manager:
Service drive acquisition. You will have full access to the service appointment log and work in conjunction with service advisors to determine potential clients to quote.
Lease returns. You will be expected to check lease returns weekly. All in-store clients grounding their lease will be assisted by a salesperson and you.
KBB ICO. You will be expected to call, email, and text all KBB ICO leads with a 10-minute initial response rate. Working these leads effectively will create appointments you will be expected to schedule and work in person. You will be negotiating street purchases, processing the paperwork, making sure clients have copies and following up on titles and payoffs. You will present a daily list to the Used Car Manager or General Sales Manager to determine which vehicles we will purchase.
KSL and Facebook Marketplace. You will be expected to call, email, and text potential sellers to find the best available vehicles to purchase on both platforms. You will present a daily list to the Used Car Manager or General Sales Manager to determine which vehicles we will purchase.
Meetings. You are required to attend and participate in all used car meetings, C.L.E.A.R. meetings, and daily one on ones. Each of these meetings are engineered to grow your knowledge of the market and business. You will be accountable for your activity and effort in all aspects of the job. You will receive a formal job review quarterly.
At first glance, there’s nothing remarkable at Ken Garff. Our uniforms aren’t flashy, and our buildings look a lot like the competition. You may not see it right at first, but if you listen you’ll hear. Because listening isn’t just something we do; it’s part of who we are. It’s how we show that what we absolutely value the most (far more than buildings, uniforms or cars) is our people. And we thrive on treating them right. We listen because we believe listening matters. We’re just different that way.
Will you join us as a new Acquisitions Manager? Will you throw your energy and focus behind what we’re doing? Will you live our values and do things differently than you’ve ever done them? Will you listen and build trust and foster relationships? This organization, that started as an idea by a man named Ken Garff way back in 1932, needs one thing to keep its vision intact and its purpose of reinventing an industry moving forward. It needs you.
