Job Summary/Basic Function:


The Manager of Parking Services coordinates and implements operational, technological and administrative components of the University’s parking management program. This position collaborates with other University departments to develop a cohesive, results-oriented customer service program.


Reporting directly to the Director and working under general direction, the Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the parking cashiering function and the citation collection and assistance where necessary with the enforcement program. This position will assist with planning and coordinating special events. Updates supervisor regularly with pertinent information regarding daily operations. Maintains and fosters a close working relationship with all members of the University community including students, faculty, staff, and administrators using a strong customer service approach to strengthen the image of the department. Continuously works to improve the consistency and efficiency in all areas of Parking Services. Works to resolve customer service issues following outlined policies and procedures.


Represents Weber State Parking Services and acts as a liaison between the campus community and Parking Services in an effort to promote excellent customer service. The Manager is responsible for the overall function of Parking Services.


Manager supervises the daily activities and operations of the Cashiering Specialists and Enforcement Supervisor in his/her role. The Manager of Parking Services supervises the activities of the full time and hourly/part time cashiering staff to include monitoring and evaluating performance, conducting training, scheduling days off and vacations, and scheduling shift coverage. manager of Parking investigates complaints and resolves recurring parking problems encountered by parking staff. This position maintains records and issues supplies and equipment as necessary. Manager assists Enforcement supervisor in special event parking, including set up and take down for these events. 


Required Qualifications:


Required: 


• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

• Five years of related experience, to include a minimum of 3 years supervisory, customer service and cashiering experience.


Preferred Qualifications:


Preferred: 


• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Parking Services field.

• Banner or related software experience

• Paylock or other parking management software experience

• Parking enforcement experience
