Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Snowbird is situated in the middle of the Wasatch Mountain Range and is not only home to awe-inspiring views and mighty terrain, it is also home to employees equally as remarkable. Snowbird is a unique resort with distinct summer and winter seasons and offers full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.
TITLE: AM and PM Public Areas Attendant
LOCATION: Cliff Lodge at Snowbird
STATUS: Full-time, Year-round, Hourly
SCHEDULE: 8AM - 4PM, or 3PM - 11PM
  • Specific Shift: Set schedule, specific days of the week can be accommodated
  • Weekends and holidays required.
SUMMARY
As a Public Areas Attendant at the Cliff Lodge under the direction of the Housekeeping Director, you will perform cleaning duties of the public areas of the hotel. Delivers special items to guests' rooms. Sorts dirty linen and on occasion may clean rooms.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Maintaining all public areas consisting of lobbies, halls, pool, steam room, saunas, and exercise room.
  • Dust furniture, vacuum, and buff floor. Scrubs toilets, showers, sinks, and clean mirrors.
  • Empty trash, pick up spills, and clean litter.
  • Deliver rollaway beds, dishes, cribs, and any other items required by guests.
  • Assists in laundry room and with whatever else is asked of by supervisors.
  • May need to clean rooms as needed depending on business levels.
  • Deep cleaning projects to help maintain hotel cleanliness.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrate basic competency in reading, writing, speaking, simple arithmetic and interpersonal relations.
  • Occasional guest shuttles in Snowbird suburban is helpful but not required. A check of driving record is required to drive any Snowbird vehicle, in addition to a valid .
  • Must be reliable, mature and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be self motivated with the ability to keep busy during slow times.
  • Requires some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.
  • Requires some problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and responsibility limitations.
  • Requires strong understanding of other Snowbird operations.
  • Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • 8AM - 4PM, or 3PM - 11PM.
  • Specific days of the week can be accommodated
  • Weekends and holidays required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, on occasional times of road closures.
  • May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
  • Must be able to walk on snowy and/or icy conditions to access work sites.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, push, pull, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
  • Daily work with cleaning chemicals can present some hazards and must use care with chemicals.
  • Able to push or pull beds, move chairs, and move tables.
  • Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
  • Other/Additional: May experience some stress due to periodic guest relations, also during high occupancy periods.
