Welch Olsen LLP is a young and growing CPA firm that specializes in tax, accounting and payroll for small business owners. We are a small office and we value flexibility and work/life balance - people who work for us are not allowed to miss important family events because of work.

Welch Olsen offers a unique and valuable service to our clients, and because of that we are growing rapidly. We are seeking an experienced office administrator who is highly organized and efficient to help manage the growth of our practice. We pride ourselves on our relaxed, fun atmosphere. An ideal candidate should have a strong background in organizational efficiency and customer service. The position will work extensively with both clients and our internal staff, so strong communication skills, and a pleasant demeanor are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Be nice. Tax and accounting can be stressful. The ability to be kind and maintain a positive attitude, even under stress, is extremely valuable to us.
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, communication, and administrative tasks.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications.
  • Maintain office supplies.
  • Assist in HR-related tasks such as onboarding new employees and managing records.
  • Organize company events and meetings.
  • Support other departments with administrative needs as required.
  • May also assist with monthly accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A strong desire to provide excellent client service
  • Excellent communication skills and a pleasant demeanor
  • Proven experience in office administration or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges
  • High level of professionalism and discretion
  • Dependability
  • Detail-oriented and thorough approach
  • Experience with QuickBooks and knowledge of basic tax forms is a major plus
