Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Snowbird is situated in the middle of the Wasatch Mountain Range and is not only home to awe-inspiring views and mighty terrain, it is also home to employees equally as remarkable. Snowbird is continually looking for the best, those who share a passion for these mountains and the outdoors. Snowbird is a unique resort with distinct summer and winter seasons and offers full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.

TITLE: Oktoberfest Tent Lead
LOCATION: Oktoberfest
STATUS: Part-time, Seasonal
SCHEDULE: 10 am to 8 pm

It's about more than just bending elbows. Oktoberfest at Snowbird is a family-friendly affair with activities, food, and, of course, brews for days - weeks. The highly anticipated festival begins mid-August and lasts through mid-October, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, along with Labor Day.

Snowbird's Oktoberfest attracts thousands of visitors each year making it one of the largest festivals in Utah. Come join the Oktoberfest Team!
  • $14.00 an hour plus tips
  • Shifts: Saturdays & Sundays, August 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, and 31st. September 1 (Labor Day Monday), 6, 7, 13, 14, 20,21, 27, and 28th. October 4, 5, 11 and 12th.
  • Mandatory Days: August 2nd or 3rd for orientation/training, August 30 through October 12th weekends, including Labor Day Monday.
SUMMARY
As an Oktoberfest Tent Lead, under the direction of The Special Events Management Team, responsible for managing a section of Oktoberfest beer and food locations as assigned, including team member development and performance to optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their festival experience.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months job related experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol.
  • Food handlers Permit and Alcohol certification - Required by training date. (August 2nd/3rd)
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Specific Shift: 10:00am -8:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays. Exact times vary daily but shift will fall within these hours.
  • August 2nd or 3rd for orientation/training
  • From August 9th - October 12th and Labor Day weekend, August 30th, 31st and September 1st 2025
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
  • Solid black pants (must fit waist, no jeans or baggy pants) or fingertip length black shorts, comfortable, dark closed-toe shoes, black socks.
  • We will provide one uniform shirt, apron, hat and name tag that must be worn every day once you are clocked in.
  • Weather varies greatly from day to day so always be prepared with a jacket, hat and gloves.
  • Events will never be canceled for bad weather, but we may send people home.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Stress associated with high volume sales, heavy crowds, and high noise levels due to live entertainment.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to carry trays and other items needed for service.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
  • Outside environment in a mountain setting: weather will range from hot and sunny to cold and wet, possibly changing conditions drastically throughout the day. Walking through heavy crowds, up and down stairs, up and down hills.
