Job Description

Position Summary:

The Jr. Water Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and compliance of water sources by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting water softening, filtration and purification systems. This role involves working both in the field and warehouse facilities to monitor water quality, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate records of system installations, performance, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and passionate about water quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Work & Installations:
  • Assist in install and service of water filtration and purification systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Perform site inspections to determine the most effective filtration or purification system for various water sources.
  • Work with different types of filtration systems such as reverse osmosis, UV treatment, and filtration.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance:
  • Monitor the performance of installed systems to ensure water quality standards are met.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on filtration and purification systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system malfunctions or poor water quality.
  • Reporting & Compliance:
  • Document and record all data related to system installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure that all water systems comply with federal, state, and local water quality standards.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the Water Quality Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Community & Environmental Stewardship:
  • Educate clients about water conservation, filtration system maintenance, and safety practices.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in water filtration system installation, plumbing, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with water system maintenance and regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of water filtration systems and installation techniques.
  • Ability to work with plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
