Responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice with a welcoming and warm demeanor.
  • Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed with accuracy and consistency.
  • Assisting patients to fill out new patient forms. 
  • Verifying patients’ charts and daily schedules for the clinical providers.  
  • Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.  
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders.  
  • Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.  
  • Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.  
  • Present treatment options, and various therapy modalities, services, and products to patients.
  • Sterilize, organize, and clean rooms and ensure all infection control policies are being followed as well as are always patient ready.
  • Linens: Collect dirty, separate, wash, fold, and put away stocking each room as needed. 
  • Work with leadership to resolve administrative challenges with creativity and a team/patient first approach.
  • May assist with billing procedures and managing and accounting for incoming and pending insurance, workers comp, and motor vehicle accident payments

Qualifications

REQUIRED Skills/Qualifications:

  • An OUTSTANDING and PROFESSIONAL attitude!

And

  • Basic knowledge of using a computer (Able to learn how to use various software)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of face-to-face customer service experience
  • Proficient interpersonal communication skills both in person, over the phone, and electronic
  • Able to analyze information and creatively come up with solutions
  • Capacity to handle multiple projects, or tasks throughout the day

Helpful Skills / Qualifications: (An edge and worth more $$, but not required)

  • Knowledge of medical field practices and billing procedures
  • Sales experience 
  • Social media experience
  • Ability to provide exercise instruction
