Job Description

Receive and review submittals, write and track RFI's and process change orders, prepare and maintain meeting agendas and minutes, maintain construction drawings, assist with change order pricing, provide marketing assistance as required, assist Project Manager and Superintendent with subcontract and schedule administration, layout and/or quality control, etc. Knowledge and proficiency working in Microsoft Office and Blue Beam.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps up-to-date on construction drawings and as-builts.
  • Processes and tracks submittals, RFIs and responses, project changes & work progress
  • Maintains logs, reflecting the status of shop drawings, requests for clarifications, change and proposal requests.
  • Provides the required up-to-date copies of drawings and specifications to subcontractors.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Assists superintendent in verifying that all materials installed coincide with the approved submittals.
  • Attends and participates in applicable meetings, such as the job “kick off” meeting, weekly project meeting, monthly project manager-superintendent meeting, owner-architect (OAC) meeting, and other meetings as necessary
  • Takes notes for project team meetings and distributes them to participants.
  • Assists the project manager in creating a project directory of owner, architect, team, and subcontractors using the company’s construction management software, PASKR.
  • Ensures that the project site and construction activities are being documented in writing and photos.
  • Helps create and distribute monthly progress reports.
  • Updates project schedules as needed.
  • Assists with the job closeout process by gathering closeout materials from subcontractors and helps the project manager and superintendent to administer and track completion of punchlist. 

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience and/or Bachelor's degree in construction management, or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Blue Beam.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling programs preferred.
  • Proficiency in web-based construction management software programs such as PASKR.
  • Good written and oral communication skills. Expresses self clearly and effectively when talking with individuals and groups. Expresses ideas clearly in writing. Uses proper organization and grammar.
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to express opinions and make suggestions, as well as to follow established procedures
