About Us:

MADSEN Cycles designs, develops, and manufactures unique family cargo bikes built to carry it all—kids, gear, groceries, and more. Our small but mighty team is passionate about bikes, quality craftsmanship, a hard work ethic, and creating joy-filled riding experiences.

The Role:

We are seeking a part-time Bike Mechanic and Packager to help us build, tune up, and prepare our cargo bikes for shipping. This hands-on role supports the daily operations of our warehouse and shop while also contributing to the quality and care that MADSEN is known for.

Responsibilities

This position requires a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

Management + Improvement of Shop Operations

Assemble/Tune-Up MADSEN Cargo Bikes and Electric Kits

Perform Quality Checks and Bike Maintenance

Accessorize Bikes

Build Packaging Materials

Package Bikes Securely and Efficiently Utilizing MADSEN's Packaging Process

Ship Bikes

A Variety of Shop Tasks with Hand Tools

Daily Clean-up of Shop Area

Contribute to Process Improvements and Team Collaboration

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with bike mechanic experience who can take ownership of shop operations and help keep both the shop and warehouse running smoothly. You'll be responsible for bicycle assembly, packaging, and shipping—ensuring each MADSEN bike is built and prepared with care.

At MADSEN Cycles, we value a blue-collar work ethic: less talking, more doing. You'll be a great fit if you’re a skilled mechanic who enjoys hard work, thrives in a team setting, and is eager to grow within a hands-on, dynamic company.

Requirements:

  • Bike mechanic experience is required
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work with small shop tools
  • Good dexterity and nimble hands
  • Honest, dependable, and punctual
  • Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Comfortable working in a small, efficient team (3–5 people)

Compensation:

Hourly wage is based on experience, work ethic, and performance. $18-25/hour, 25-30 hours per week.
