Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Executive Assistant to the President provides high-level administrative support to the President of Weber State University and manages the day-to-day operations of the President’s Office, including, receiving and handling visitors, incoming phone calls and emails. Reporting directly to the President, this position requires exceptional organizational skills, customer service, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Additionally, this position requires a keen ability to anticipate the needs of the President, understand the wide scope of the position, and make appropriate decisions that will protect the key resources of the office.
The Executive Assistant serves as the primary support to the President, including facilitating the President’s scheduling process (meetings, events, and travel) as well as discerning which things require the President’s attention versus those that can be deferred elsewhere. The Executive Assistant will serve as the outward facing representative of the President and Board of Trustees for internal and external stakeholders. The Executive Assistant will also assist the WSU Board of Trustees, including scheduling and coordination of regular Trustee meetings.
The Executive Assistant also works on special projects including the organization of events, the facilitating of committees, and other projects as required by the President.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 years related experience that includes two years at the executive office level

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills
• Ability to meet deadlines while also adapting to immediate demands
• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Evidence of exercising discretion regarding confidential matters
