Lead Lot Attendant
Job Summary
The employee will be trained to assist Supervisors in various roles, including being the lead lot attendant for events, filling shifts. Will also train other lot attendants to help direct guests on where to park during special events taking place at the University of Utah and expected to work in ranging temperatures while delivering great customer service.
Responsibilities
Will be the Lead Lot Attendant for events and maintains parking areas specific to event needs for visitors to campus. This may include reserving parking areas, selling parking stalls or providing customer service. May be asked to Collect money and return change to customers. Counts money collected during shift, balances it with tickets or items sold, and submits to supervisor for review. Provides excellent customer service while providing directions and answers general questions about parking permits and policies, merchandise, theater productions, etc. May perform clerical tasks such as answering phones, responding to mail, or filing.• This job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.
Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and four years experience related to the area of assignment is required, with at least two years experience leading a maintenance crew. A valid Utah Driver's license is required. Dependent upon area of assignment a Utah Commercial Driver's License class B may be required. A Utah pesticide applicator's license may be requested.
