Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing job costs, and supporting project execution from bid to closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insulation systems, construction project workflows, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine insulation requirements.
• Perform material take-offs and labor estimates for batt, blown-in, and spray foam insulation.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to general contractors and clients.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and verify measurements.
• Interact with customers as needed to gather project details, take physical measurements, and provide on-site estimates.
• Perform physical field work including jobsite measurements and verification of material usage through on-site counts.
• Collaborate with accounting and installers to ensure accurate pricing, material tracking, and scope alignment.
• Analyze job costs and compare estimated vs. actual costs to identify variances and improve future estimates.
• Track and report on project profitability, labor efficiency, and material usage.
• Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and pricing information.
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving recommendations.
• Perform project closeout by reviewing final costs and contributing to post-project evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an estimator in the construction or insulation industry.
• Strong knowledge of insulation materials, installation methods, and building codes.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience with estimating and job costing software (e.g., PlanSwift, QuickBooks, Excel).
• Experience with both residential and commercial insulation projects.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and rebate programs.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
