Seeking a reliable and dependable person for full-time position as a Medical Assistant/Surgical Assistant for a specialty surgeon's office in Ogden.

Medical Assistant duties include:

·        bringing patients into rooms and managing patient flow during clinic days (2-3 days)

·        assisting the MD and patient in rooms; general patient care

·        creating and maintaining patient records using electronic medical records

·        starting pre-authorizations for procedures

·        other MA duties as assigned

 Surgical Assistant duties include:

·        Assisting with duties in the surgical/OR areas and training as backup OR Scrub Tech

·        Help manage surgical inventory needs; assist with ordering and putting away supply orders

·        Help with surgical case preparation including autoclaving OR instruments

·        Help set up supplies and equipment for each case

·        Help properly clean the OR in between cases and at end of day

·        Help ensure a quick surgery turnover rate

·        Assist with Joint Commission accreditation responsibilities and paperwork

MA certification REQUIRED. Position requires strong communication and computer skills. At least 1-year previous experience as a Medical Assistant is necessary. We will only consider applications with previous medical experience. Prefer experience with electronic medical records. Must be able to perform duties without constant supervision and manage patient flow in and out of clinic.
